How It All Began

In 1969, a group of five dentists, led by Drs. Daro A. Buchanan and Richard O'Brien, formed Dental Health Associates of Madison, Ltd. (DHA) at 890 West Wingra Drive, Madison, Wisconsin. Their goal was to provide more comprehensive dental care for their patients. Both dentists had been single practitioners for the previous 15 years, but saw the need for a unified, complete range of services at a single location.

Where We Are Today

Dental Health Associates of Madison, Ltd. is a privately owned dental practice providing general and specialty (which include – Periodontics and Orthodontics) dental care to all individuals. We have grown from five to twenty-seven dentists, with auxiliary staffing of over 200.

There are nineteen owners amongst the twenty-seven dentists. All of our dentists have a vital interest in the patient care at all locations. Our original facility was located at 890 West Wingra Drive, a west-central location, which closed in 2001. Currently, we have five locations reflecting the geographic distribution of our patients in and around the Madison area:
