Everyone smiles in the same language. If you don't like what your smile is saying about you, ask your dentist about veneers!

Veneers

Your smile speaks for itself! If your teeth are discolored or misshapen, your DHA dentist may recommend dental veneers to improve the appearance of your smile. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells of tooth-colored material that are bonded to the front of your teeth. They create a bright, white smile with beautifully aligned, shapely teeth. The translucent ceramic quality of today's veneers look like your natural teeth.

Dental veneers:

  • are life-like and natural in appearance
  • can correct for spaces between teeth
  • cover stains and chips
  • are durable and long-lasting
  • enhance the appearance of the mouth and smile

Veneers FAQs

Veneers or Whitening?

If your teeth are mildly discolored, your DHA dentist may steer you to the simpler alternative of whitening, perhaps combined with some simple orthodontic alignment.

If you have a severe case of dull or discolored teeth, veneers may be the best solution for you. Although veneers require a much larger commitment than teeth whitening, the results are typically well worth it.

When are Veneers Appropriate?

Bonding is often an inexpensive and effective restoration for small chips and cracks in the teeth. Such minor problems may be functionally and cosmetically repaired with a composite "white filling," in which a composite resin material is bonded to the tooth, filling in the chip or crack and protecting the surrounding tooth structure. But for more severe cases of dullness, wear, discoloration, mild chipping, cracking, spacing, or uneven teeth, your DHA dentist may recommend dental veneers.
