Committed to Youth and Sports Dentistry
Working with youth and young adults is one theme of Dr. Allen Skibba's dental career. In addition to his practice at Dental Health Associates' clinic on the east side of Madison, Dr. Skibba serves as dentist to the University of Wisconsin men's and women's hockey, wrestling and softball teams. He is also active in "Give a Kid a Smile," an annual effort spearheaded by the American Dental Association to provide education, preventive dental care, and restorative dental care to low-income children who do not otherwise have access to dentists.
Dr. Skibba's career as a member of the Navy's Dental Corps led him to Dental Health Associates, where he is a partner. In the Navy, he worked with a group of dentists to provide dental care. He found the same kind of working environment in DHA's group practice, where many general dentists and dental specialists work together to provide the best possible care to their patients.
With his wife Marsha, Dr. Skibba enjoys carting his four children, aged 10 to 15, to their many activities in the Madison area. The family enjoys a wide range of sports, from gymnastics and golf to hockey, fishing and skiing. Dr. Skibba also plays on the Dane County all-dentist softball team, the "Drill Team."
