Dr. Daniel O’Brien, a Madison native, has practiced general and family dentistry as a partner of Dental Health Associates for over 32 years. He and his incredible team emphasize preventative and conservative dental treatment. He enjoys working with patients of all ages. He particularly enjoys cosmetic procedures and restorative dentistry.

Dr. O’Brien, along with his wife, daughter and 2 golden retrievers, loves to travel to the Northwoods of Wisconsin and the beaches of Florida to relish the company of extended family. When they’re not on the go, he enjoys golfing, biking, fishing, and watching his daughter’s many activities.

In his spare time, he helps out with the Touched Twice Clinic, Madison Dental Initiative, and Mission of Mercy free clinics. He also participates in the “Give a Kid a Smile” program which provides dental care and education to low income children who do not otherwise have access to dentists.

Dr. O’Brien and his team of hygienists actually make going to the dentist a positive experience! They are always on time and the entire group is friendly and enthusiastic. They do a very thorough job of cleaning my teeth (and my children’s teeth) but do so without causing any discomfort and always explain what they are doing and what they see. And Dr. O’Brien is the best! He, too, is always friendly, he is very knowledgeable and always takes time to explain any problems he sees or procedures that might we needed. He, too, takes great care to make sure that he treats his patients with as little discomfort as possible.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to get you in to see your dentist is you have a problem. They are also great at finding appointments for routine work that fit your schedule. Dr. Dan O'Brien is a great dentist. He's friendly and keeps you informed about everything that's going with your teeth. He tells you about the status of your teeth and any future problems you may encounter. He also makes recommendations to improve your dental health. If you're in the market for a new dental health service provider, Dental Health Associates would be a great choice.

I have been going to Dental Health Associates when it was located on Wingra Drive. For almost 25 years I have been seeing Dr. Dan O'Brien and his dental hygienist and I have always received the best care possible. Not only do I receive the best care, but it is a joy to spend time with these two professionals. They are always funny, engaging, and create an environment of comfort and safety. I can't imagine going anyplace else!
