Preventive Dentistry
Making sure your family receives good preventive dental care is the best and most important thing you can do for your family's dental health. We make it easy at Dental Health Associates. Your family dentist and hygienist will help you learn to protect your family's teeth and their overall dental health by:
- teaching your family proper brushing techniques
- encouraging the entire family to floss regularly
- promoting good oral habits
- promoting good eating habits
- teaching children and adults how to protect their teeth while playing sports
Our staff will help your family make informed decisions about fluoride treatments, sealants, and orthodontic treatments for you and your children.
Advantages of Regular Checkups
With regular checkups at DHA, your family will have healthy mouths, mouths that chew more easily and absorb more nutrients from food. Healthy mouths not only promote dental health, but better general health, because oral disease can endanger the rest of the body. A healthy mouth also means less extensive — and less expensive dental care — over your lifetime.

Preventive Dentistry FAQs
I would like to get my teeth cleaned and bleached at the same appointment. Is that possible?
In order to achieve optimal whitening, we recommend that patients have their teeth cleaned first, then return at a later date to begin the whitening process.
Do I have to have an oral exam every time get my teeth cleaned?
The dentists at Dental Health Associates are required by state statute to perform a complete oral exam at least once per year on every patient in their care, or have proof of exam performed at another dental office, before performing any dental procedure.
